Chapter Events

Our chapter regularly holds chapter luncheons for members as well as other events throughout the region. See below for a current listing of upcoming events.

MOAA Luncheon
Chapter Luncheons

Our chapter luncheons currently meet at Chartiers Country Club (601 Baldwin Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15205). The bar opens at 1 PM and lunch is served at 2 PM, followed by the program and adjournment by 4 PM when the club closes.

The luncheon schedule for 2025 is as follows:

27 April 2025 - Speaker: PA Senator Nick Pisciottano (VEAP). ​

13 July 2025 - Speaker: COL, USA Nicholas O. Melin, Corp of Engineers

(Pittsburgh District)

​07 September 2025 - Meeting & Officer/ Board Nominations for 2026-27

Speaker: BG, USAR (Ret.) Robert F. Pleczkowski, USAR Ambassador (PA)

​12 October 2025- Meeting & Chapter Voting

Speaker: CPT, USN (Ret.) Eugene Gincheau

Holiday Party - December 7, 2025 The Chapter's 60th Anniversary (11NOV1965) will be celebrated. Entertainment TBD

Current cost is $35 per person and the menu will be sent out in the chapter newsletter the month prior to the meeting.

Our chapter holiday party will be at Chartiers Country Club (601 Baldwin Rd, Pittsburgh, PA 15205). The party will be from 1-4PM during the month of December each year.

Dinner, entertainment, and drawings for gifts provided by the members.

Current cost is $35-$50 per person and the menu will be sent out in the chapter newsletter the month prior to the meeting.

MOAA Bingo
Southwest Veterans Center Community Games

Members regularly run community games at the Southwest Veterans Center for the residents. See our newsletter for upcoming opportunities. We have been participating in the SWVC's Bingo for over a decade.

JROTC Awards
JROTC / ROTC Awards

We support awards for the following school districts:

JROTC: Albert Gallatin, Ambridge, Beaver Area, Butler, Connellsville, North Allegheny, Norwin, Perry, Pine-Richland, Plum, Seneca Valley, Valley, West Allegheny, and West Mifflin

ROTC: University of Pittsburgh, Carnegie Mellon, Slippery Rock
